It’s been 18-years since my debacle began. Reviewing my history with distance and understanding makes my errors in judgment seem blatant and avoidable. Choosing a path of multiple medications certainly seemed the correct direction at the time, but it nearly took my life.
I firmly believe that my suffering had great merit—and served to reshape my life into a mission to help people worldwide. I learned that our response to adversity can dim our spirit or offer deep meaning.
